HOW IT IS TIMED
Water is unforgiving
The chip sits in an area exposed to water, a very unfavourable medium for passive chips. That is why the active system rules here.

Chip on the ankle or wrist
Fastened with a neoprene ankle strap. Reusable, waterproof chips.

Reading under water
The ACTSLEEP2.45 reads the chip even under water and lets you place the finish line in the middle of the water.

Passive on dry land
UHF passive readers also work, but only with the finish installed on land.
